Privacy notice
What we handle while turning a song into a practice session
Jium processes information needed to operate accounts and audio practice features. This notice separates how information enters, is used by, and leaves the planned iOS release and web service.
Effective date · 2026-07-10
Information we process
When you create and use an account, we process your name, email address, internal user ID, and password hash. We do not store your password in plain text.
When you practice, we process the audio files and file names you choose, plus generated stems, waveforms, sections, lyrics, chords, and scores. We also process product interaction and diagnostic events needed to understand service health.
We process payment records only when an existing web purchase applies. Jium's iOS release policy excludes purchases and external purchase links.
Sources and purposes
We receive your name and email during registration and sign-in. The iOS release is designed to send audio only after you choose it with the iOS system file picker.
We use this information for authentication, separation, analysis, playback, storage and sync, support and security, and first-party product analysis. We do not combine it for unrelated purposes beyond what is needed to provide and protect the service.
iOS release policy and tracking
Jium's iOS release policy does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, or photo library. You will explicitly choose each file through the system file picker.
We do not sell personal data for advertising or use third-party cross-app tracking. We do not connect activity across other companies' apps or websites with an advertising identifier.
Service providers
Cloudflare R2 processes audio you select and generated stems and derived files for object storage and delivery.
Modal processes audio and necessary derived data for separation and compute.
Anthropic Claude-powered processing handles lyrics correction, annotation, or score-related text and content. It runs only after you initiate a feature that uses this processing.
Lemon Squeezy processes order and contact data only for existing web purchases. Jium's iOS release policy excludes purchases and external purchase links.
Each provider's own terms and privacy notice apply. We send only the information needed for the relevant storage, compute, content-processing, or payment purpose.
Third-party AI or content processing occurs only after you initiate the relevant feature and, where platform or privacy rules require it, after your explicit permission.
Retention and account deletion
Once the iOS app is distributed, Account > Delete Account will start deletion. After confirmation, we remove the account, uploads, derived files, and share links. You can retry any deletion that does not finish, and the release keeps the recovery state visible.
Deletion and anonymization are different. Some anonymized aggregate analytics may remain because they no longer identify you. We may also keep the minimal paid transaction records that law requires us to retain for the applicable period.
Data in backups or external processing systems may be subject to each system's operational and retention terms. Contact us if you need details about deletion scope. This notice does not promise an exact backup purge deadline that the service has not implemented.
Your choices and safeguards
You can stop future optional processing by not initiating those features. Once the iOS app is distributed, you can delete service data from the account screen.
Contact us below to ask a privacy question, object to optional processing, or withdraw consent. After account deletion, anonymized aggregate analytics and minimal paid transaction records required by law may remain.
We use access controls, transport protection, and limited operational permissions. No online service can eliminate every risk.
